Have you ever thought of creating your own oracle deck? Have you been tossing ideas around but don't know where to begin? Would it be helpful to follow prompts and join a community of folks who are also creating an oracle deck? Create This Oracle Deck challenge is back again this March! Last year we had a blast creating our own oracle decks. Check out over 2,000 posts on Instagram from last year's challenge HERE. THE CHALLENGE I realize there is a bit of creative paralysis that interferes with ART-ing sometimes so I've developed a challenge to get past that obstacle. It's called #createthisoracledeck2018 challenge and it runs during March on Instagram. It's a way to create a unique, personal oracle your way. I hope it will also help you understand how to translate a symbol into meaning. For some of you, this might be the first step to creating an oracle deck you're ready to share with the world. In fact, there are several decks now published and available to the public that began with last year's challenge. Shown below: Inner Queen Oracle, Dark Moon Damsel Oracle, Inner Landscape Oracle, and Untamed Truth Oracle. THE PROCESS There will be a prompt each day for each card. Join in by following the daily prompts to create your own personal oracle deck. You can draw, collage, use photos or apps to create your deck. We'll do a total of 30 cards. On March 31st, you can show your entire deck! Please use #createthisoracledeck2018 so we can find your posts on Instagram. The intention of this challenge is to create a usable oracle deck without getting hung up on the details. That's why there are prompts and a time limitation of one day per card. WHAT YOU NEED ✨Cardstock, blank cards, index cards, etc. You can find blank card decks on amazon and makeplayingcards.com ✨Pencils & non-bleed pens and markers for drawing (rubber stamping is also a great idea) ✨Magazines, stickers, scissors and glue stick for collage ✨Apps like Tayasui Sketches, Enlight, ArtStudio, to make digital drawings ✨A journal for your guidebook THE PROMPTS Here are the prompts for Create This Oracle Deck Challenge 2018! I'm calling this year's challenge the mystic version because there are a few prompts related specifically to the divining and mystical arts such as life path, astrological sign, and tarot cards. You can also enroll in my FREE Create This Oracle Deck course too. It's where all of the challenge information will be compiled along with a few extras for inspiration. We begin March 1, 2018.

Take your deck on a date and ask it some questions you might ask on a first date. It's a great way to start discovering your deck's personality and a fun way to practice your intuitive reading skills. Here are some of the date questions I've asked a few decks. Most of these questions are from the article, 160 First Date Questions. The only list you'll need. Who are your kind of people? TOWER. Tall, mysterious people you look up to. When do you feel most out of place? SKY. When looking at the vastness of the sky. Best advice you've been given. SIGNS. Signs are everywhere. Pay attention. What's your favorite place? ACE OF OYSTERS. The oyster bar. What skill or ability would you like to learn? THE EMPEROR. Alligator wrestling. Advice for your younger self. THE MAGICIAN. Life is like a gumbo. Embrace different kinds of experiences to draw out the best flavor. What is your silliest fear? PROTECT. I'm deathly afraid of rose bush thorns. I don't even like to look at them. What wrong assumptions do people make about you? CLARITY. That I have eyes in the back of my head and I can read your mind. If you won the lottery, how would you spend it? WISDOM. Books, books, and more books. If you'd like to take your deck(s) on a date, join my Date With A Deck Challenge on Instagram and in my Over The Moon Academy Facebook group. Each day between February 11 and 17, post a card with an answer to the question. You can use a brand new deck or any deck with an intriguing personality. Use hashtag #datewithadeck so we can find all the posts on Instagram.
