Can you create space to allow greater awareness of opportunities? This week, we CLEAR. Why do we clear? To create space for new things. To become aware of new opportunities. To release what no longer brings joy and pleasure. The challenge begins on August 26 during the full moon so we can use this week to start emptying our cup. This week is about creating space so we can be more aware of the awesome opportunities the Universe is sending us. For Generators, our aura attracts exactly what we need and desire. But when we are busy, busy, busy, it's difficult to stay open to these blessings. The Manifesting Generator's restlessness and need for constant activity also prevents us from noticing signs and symbols telling us to change direction. And when we over plan and over schedule, it limits our spontaneity to react to incoming stimuli. Use the prompts and actions below for practice and self-exploration. JOURNAL PROMPTS What needs to be released? What is your clutter hiding? When space is cleared, what will the emptiness allow? Are you addicted to activity? What’s beneath the restlessness? ACTIONS

Here's a challenge prompt from Sacred Awakening 2018 @imogenwaltersintuitive. I've recycled it to get new insights using the Vision Board in my Magical Playbook. I selected all cards at random from the Oracle of Mystical Moments deck. I was pleasantly surprised to find Sea Witch in the Vision position. This card represents joy of play, wonder, and going with the flow. The rest of the reading suggests that in order to stay in a state of childlike wonder, I need to be imaginative and in a constant state of transformation, adjusting to change and gathering inspiration from every experience.
Then I chose a few cards at random from my Haiku Oracle too, to answer the original prompt question. They answered perfectly: a bee veiled in morning mist stillness To me, this poem is about quieting my constant need for activity so there's a transition from an active state (a bee) to a state of inner quiet (stillness). I got so much out of the first 2018 Life Path Visualization Board that I decided to do another one, this time using the Modern Spellcaster's Tarot as the central card.
Central card is The Star. I'm walking a dual path (water and earth) and confronting a goddess-like woman who is crying and pouring out water from two vessels. At her crown chakra is a star. (1) What do I need to do to find healing on this path? Act Rather Than Wait (Wisdom for Healing Cards) (2) What goddess will guide me on this path? Ariadne is the Goddess of Omens. She will guide me to understand symbols and synchronicity (Journey To the Goddess Realm Oracle Deck) (3) What is the message of the tears and pouring water out? Internal Strength is a story of persevering through the tears and obstacles encountered on the path (Aboriginal Dreamtime Oracle) (4) What activity will help me connect to my crown chakra star? Stretch (My Quality Time Self-Care Activity Deck) Notice how the Stretch and Internal Strength figures are doing a similar movement -- looking and reaching upward. Have you heard of the New Year's Eve tradition of First Foot? I've seen it practiced in Southern homes but just recently researched it to create this spellcasting spread. First Footing is reportedly a Scottish tradition, although many other cultures utilize this ritual as a new year preparation. The First Foot is the first person to enter the home on New Year's day and a bringer of good fortune for the coming year. There are some guidelines for this tradition in order to bring in the best fortune:
You can use tarot or oracle cards for this. As a typical spread, choose your cards at random to find out what will likely manifest in terms of your overall new year vibration and various areas of life. You can also choose cards face up to reflect what you desire to manifest in these areas. You can keep the cards on your altar as a manifestation spell and place the other items (coin, bread, salt, whisky) on your altar as a symbolic connection to the First Foot tradition. Here are the cards I chose face up (from a personal deck I created) as a manifestation spell. I'm bringing in a boss attitude next year (Queen of Wands) and releasing the sad sack 5 of Cups energy. I'm focused on wealth and comfort (6 of Coins) and in my home life, I want to spend more time on healthy eating and exercise (Empress). I think the High Priestess is a great role model for my spiritual goals. I chose the Wheel of Fortune's funny, laughing character to bring in more fun and happiness next year. I'm also looking forward to finding a King who is sexy AF (King of Wands).
I have an opportunity to teach a local class. There was initial interest but not many people came to the info meeting. So I’m wondering if the class will run next year.
Numerical theme is 7 meaning I’m asking, “What path or action should I take?” This theme suggests I’m really asking should I teach the class at all. There are predominately RED cards suggesting YES. The first column of the Answer Spread shows the reason for the question and reiterates that interest seems to be waning or decreasing 5♦️little by little 3♦️. However the middle column shows receiving money 💰 6♦️during a period of rest 4♣️ which probably relates to the downtime of the holidays. The last column represents contributing factors. The King ♠️ is an authority figure or possibly relates to legal issues. However he’s covered by the Queen ❤️ so she gets her way. Someone in a remote position of authority may oppose the class but a friend or ally comes to the rescue. This Queen 👸🏾 is a pivot card and therefore the outcome may be completely up to her. Facing the 6♦️she’s patient and persistent and possibly generous too. UPDATE: The class did run, thanks to the generosity of one of the students who paid for someone else to attend. I was able to do the class with just the two of them. I did receive the money during the holidays. I think the King relates to the decision I had to make about whether to run an evening class too. I had interest but it came in a little too late and with no payments so I had to cancel the evening class. Learn to read playing cards like a pro with my online class... |
