In April, I hosted an Instagram challenge to write a 30-day poem. We wrote one line each day. I used my Haiku Oracle because it lends itself so well to this. I find that this deck resonates extremely well with the moon phases, even when I'm not aware of them. At the new moon, the card, spring, appeared, suggesting the fresh energy of that moon phase. At the full moon, I pulled the end of autumn, which reflects the harvest energy of the full moon. Here's my 30-day, 30-line poem: the oil freezing the oak tree a field of cotton not interested leaking from the roof flecked with mud a cuckoo crying had flowered the voices of the wild ducks this deep in fall on the half finished bridge still not a butterfly a flash of lightning drills into the rocks one or two inches utterly away spring in cherry blossoms a horse peeing above the dead grass spring rain first day of spring against a cool wall as if the moon and sleeps awhile sick, falls from the sky falling winter solitude the end of autumn goes the heron's cry Purchase the Haiku Oracle
